Shared Routine

Eli’s alarm went off just a few moments after her neighbor’s, living beside her.  Slow but then quickly the strong beat hit against her wooden desk and pleaded she get up quickly and urgently as well.

The two different routines hit one another head on.  This was one of the things Eli liked about New York, since moving here ten months ago, how while within your routine someone else’s routine would play with your own.
